In French, the word has three meanings: a biological parasite, a social parasite, & static.

The parasite is also a guest, who exchanges his talk, praise & flattery for food.

{iii crumb}
Our world is full of copiers & repeaters, all highly rewarded with money & glory.

{iv crumb}
But who expels him? Noise. One parasite chases another out.

{v crumb}
Not only living on but also living in - by him, with him & in him.

{vi crumb}
We parasite each other & live amidst parasites.

{vii crumb}
You slept, if you please, you ate, dreamt, made love, & so forth. Well, the rats came back. They are, as the saying goes, always already there.
